Information on the business Providing highly integrated services to the local population around each pharmacy's location.
Meiklejohn Pharmacy was established in 1949 in order to serve the needs of south-east Bedford. It has since changed hands twice, most recently coming under the guidance of Mrs. Indira Panchal BSc(Hons) in 1991. Since this date, the pharmacy has evolved from a small local pharmacy to a group of highly active, vibrant, full-service pharmacies in the Bedford area with Berkeley Pharmacy opening in 2003, The Village Pharmacy in 2005, and Shortstown Pharmacy in 2009.
Our ethos stems from our humble beginnings as an independent family-run community pharmacy. We are committed to providing an exemplary customer and patient experience. In return for your custom, we will go out of our way to serve you to the highest standard. We put a heavy focus on giving you a personal service at Meiklejohn's; to meet this end, we have introduced consultation rooms in each of our pharmacies to facilitate face-to-face patient engagement.
In addition, our pharmacies are fitted to the highest specification, giving you an atmosphere you'll want to revisit. In the end though, it is our staff who give us our identity as a local, community pharmacy; they share our vision - to give you a friendly, personal and speedy service. Our services are in line with NHS Policies and Plans, but we focus these on your local needs.
