Following training, the initial key duties of the post are as follows;

Management of Changes to Existing Products
  • Create initial critical path where necessary
  • Update and maintain critical paths daily / weekly
  • Create and maintain a project tracker across all projects

Customer Contact
  • Provide regular CPA or highlight report updates to the Customer
  • Manage all CPA related customer contact i.e. requesting artwork release etc.
  • Attend Customer Project meetings where required

LOI agreements
  • Alert Account Manager of any LOI agreements that may be required
  • Submit agreements to the Customer / Account Manager / NPI & Demand Manager to gain sign off where required

NPI meetings
  • Attend / Schedule and chair internal NPI project meetings
  • Ensure all actions relevant to individual projects are recorded within the tracker during the weekly project meetings and ensuring action timelines are adhered to

Bills of Materials
  • Raise all Bill of Material paperwork to request required changes to internal SKU's
  • Check accuracy of all Bill of Material paperwork once codes have been raised

Packing Specifications
  • Request creation and ensure Customer sign off of internal packing specifications
  • Pre-Production samples / standards
  • Manage and coordinate pre-production sample process - to include creation of samples, sending to customer, record keeping and chasing approvals
  • Manage communication between departments on the status of all standards

General
  • Carry out other associated projects and duties as determined by the Group NPI & Demand Manager / Sales Director
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties

  • A good understanding of the importance of both internal and external customer care and the means by which it is achieved
  • Ability to influence key project stakeholders and create a good team working environment
  • Proven ability to work individually and as an interchangeable member of a small team.
  • Ability to organise workload and work proactively on own initiative
  • System driven and ability to work to procedure, but the ability to work outside of process when required is essential
  • Ability to use computerised information systems to input and update information as appropriate
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are comfortable with computer systems. It is not considered relevant where that experience has been gained
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

Desired qualifications

5 GCSE's or equivalent at grade A*-C (Grade 4 to 9) including English and maths.

Future prospects

The development opportunity for this role will involve using the skills already mastered working with changes to existing products, but then learning to manage the relevant site NPI process for New Products to the business as well and changes to existing.
