Run for Charity help charities raise money whilst encouraging people to get fit and healthy through sporting events. Our flagship website Run for Charity places 1000’s of runners in events every month, all of which result in large sums of money being raised for our partner charities. We work with the likes of Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation, and Marie Curie and top events like the Royal Parks Half Marathon, Spartan Race, Rough Runner and the Paris, Manchester and Brighton Marathons. We are dedicated to help charities reduce the risks and costs of getting involved with events and increasing the amount of money they raise each year.
DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative, market-leading team who work with over 500 charities in the UK. As a Business and Administration Apprentice, we will invest in you to make sure you develop all of the key skills required. Alongside this, you will support the team and work alongside some of the biggest marathons and obstacle races in the world!
We value employee development and are dedicated to making sure the successful candidate will learn, grown and enjoy their apprenticeship. The below outlines some of the main duties of the role, but we won’t stop anyone wanting to go and take on any of the races that we work with!
Answer telephone enquiries

Support current staff
Using systems, processes and technology to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
Supporting the team
Understand your role and responsibilities and the impact of your actions on others Organising yourself, prioritising and working to meet deadlines
Assist with the management of social media
Manage diary systems
Attend meetings with the team to understand the principles of customer relationships
Flexibility to develop skills in business areas that are of interest to you
HOURS
Monday to Friday
9am until 4:30pm
1hour lunch unpaid
WAGE
£180 – 40 hours @ £4.5 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Maths an Eng Grade 4/5 (C) GCSE or above.
ICT
TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
