After your Accounting apprenticeship you could progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy.
- Supporting the client onboarding journey
- Working with new and exciting technology within an accounting firm
- Finance system design & build and working with data structures
- Supporting the design of rich bespoke client management information
- Completing period end close procedures on behalf of clients (or supporting flinders team members in the process) and preparing management accounts/information
- Reviewing close activities e.g. reconciliations, vat returns, prepayments/accruals & journals
- Using and reporting from cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage One/Live)
- Preparing and/or reviewing the monthly/quarterly accounts
- Investigating and responding to technical accounting queries
- Point of contact for client for any finance related matters
- Ad-hoc work which might include developing or tracking budgets to actuals
- Technical support to flinders business advisors in delivery of their portfolios
- Liaising with the client and developing strong working relationships

- Excellent organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines
- Good knowledge and experience using the MicrosoftOffice suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
