As a Network Engineer Apprentice, you will be integral to the design, installation, maintenance and support of communication networks within the company and its customer base. Your day to day responsibilities will include...
- Telephone Support
- Design of networks within Projects
- Commissioning of Projects at customer sites. Customers include but not restricted to : Stadia, Airports, Sea Ports, Government/Police establishments Financial institutions
- Designing simple networks from a well-defined specification and applyingappropriate security products and processes
- Designing Video Surveillance Systems within the network topology
- Configuring network components, including switches, routers and firewalls
- Optimising the performance of network systems and services
- Monitoring, testing and adjusting network systems and performance to meet accepted standards using diagnostic tools, analysers and other equipment
- Applying diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the causes of network performance issues
- Applying structured approaches to troubleshooting network issues and repair faults in hardware, software products and the networkinclusive of Dallmeier Video Surveillance products
- Integrating network-related and Dallmeier specific software into an existing network environment
- Interpreting written requirements and technical specifications for network activities and maintaining accurate records of network maintenance activities
- Logging and responding to network service calls and providing technical network support to end-users as required
- Documenting work done in accordance with agreed procedures
- Operating within the parameters of service level agreements, standards and/or agreed response times
- Operating effectively in the business environment and responding to business issues related to network engineering and Dallmeier products
- Liaison with Colleagues in IT department, Software and hardware Development departments in Dallmeier HQ, based in Bavaria

- If successful for this role, you will be reporting directly into Senior Project Manager
