Secondary School in Gravesend 

DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
To work as part of a team to ensure that barriers to learning are reduced and overcome.

The Post-holders will work in a secondary school environment to support students in achieving their targets within the SEN department. The apprentice will work under the guidance of teachers and other adults in helping students achieve their potential in a mainstream setting. They will need to achieve an NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Supporting and Learning in Schools.

WAGE
Apprentice Salary – £3.90 per hour

HOURS
37 hours/week

Monday – Friday

Flexible working hours may apply on occasion with notice

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum achieved Grade C in English and Maths. Evidence of achieving a qualification in a sport qualification at Level 2 or above would be an advantage

TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
