DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY

Checkmate are looking to take on an Apprentice Customer Service Administrator who can help to ensure that their Sales and Technical team retains its excellent reputation.

As part of your apprenticeship you will be learning on the job from a small but very experienced team seeking to nurture and develop you into the future of the organisation.

This is a varied role in which you will be supporting the technical and sales time with the provision of top quality customer service. Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:

– Entering job sheets onto the system and ensuring correct documentation is issued
– Process telephone, e-mail and fax sales enquiries promptly

-Ensure customer orders, enquiries, queries and complaints are answered promptly

-Mantaining and developing relationships with existing customers via telephone calls, faxes, e-mails and visits

– Enquire if customer requires any other product or training

-Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations

-Follow-up quotations

-Liaise with production and customers on order progress

-Answering daily calls that come into the office

-Working closes with the National sales managers, updating them on daily activity that comes in from the customer, or any issues that may have been raised.

WAGE
£168.75 per week based on £4.50 per hour

HOURS
37.5 paid hours per week:

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00

Includes an hour’s unpaid lunchbreak

SKILLS REQUIRED
The successful application should have good communication skills both over the telephone and in writing.

We are also looking for somebody with good computer / typing skills.

PERSONAL QUALITIES
We are a friendly team with a good sense of humour and are looking for somebody who will fit in with this and not be afraid to ask questions.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Maths – GCSE Grade D / 3 minimum
English – GCSE Grade C / 4 minimum

TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
