DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
We are looking for a candidate with exceptional customer service skills to assist in the day to day running of our business centre, Blue Space.
The successful candidate will gain experience in running and performing reception and office administrative duties within a business environment, as well as experience in event and business centre management.
Some knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
Supporting and working with the Receptionist/Executive Administrator to:
Support the management and operational delivery of the business centre, including contact with service providers.
Provide a front of house customer service role to all tenants, guests and visitors. Assist in the management of the meeting room and booking system.
Arrangement of external catering.
Ensure all mail is handled and delivered to tenants on a daily basis.
To assist with office and event enquiries, including viewings of all space.
Ensure all areas are kept tidy and serviced kitchen is managed and clean.
Maintain, records, spreadsheets and databases.
Handle and deal with all enquiries and pass onto relevant persons.
Provide administrative support to all departments including membership.
Preparation of agendas and papers for both National Maritime events and membership, where applicable.
Organisation, implementation and maintenance of office systems; processes and procedures.
Minute and note taking, if requested.
Research when requested
The Receptionist and administrative assistant role is demanding but bursting with variety and plays a vital part in the smooth-running of the business.
9:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
(35 hours per week)

GCSE Eng. and Maths Grade 4 or above
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
