The role will entail the electrical/electronic (and some mechanical and optical) assembly, calibration and testing of advanced pharmaceutical systems and accessories, and to contribute and support the Applied Photophysics Continuous Improvement methodology and application of operational best practices.

Key tasks will include:
  • Electrical/electronic (and some mechanical and optical) assembly of instruments and accessories to approved specifications - with a strong bias towards electrical and electronic componentry
  • Calibration and test of instruments and alignment of optics - e.g.) lenses, mirrors and prisms
  • Interpretation of technical documentation - e.g. Bills of Materials (BoM), schematic drawings, assembly drawings, 3D models, etc.
  • Measurement and recording of instrument performance data
  • Contribute to the company quality and Continuous Improvement goals

Essential - Either:
  • 3 x A Levels including maths and Physics

Future prospects

On successful completion of apprenticeship, the incumbent will become an Instrument Technician. Only limited by their potential - additional training and further career growth are available as mutually beneficial.
