What you will do in your working day

You will learn to:

To convert requisitions into orders.

To maintain orders that have been raised, updating and correcting orders as required by the end user. Cleanse outstanding orders for purchases that are no longer required.

Provide advice and support to end users.

Represent the Buying Team in University wide discussions.

Work with Heads of Procurement and the broader Finance Office in order to develop financial administration into a seamless service.

The training you will be getting

You will receive on the job training from our experienced Procurement team as well as off the job training in procurement and supply from Solihull College. This is a higher level 4 apprenticeship standard.

Included in the apprenticeship is the Level 4 Diploma in Procurement & Supply with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
