What is Transactions at EY?
Economies are fuelled by competitive organisations who buy, sell, merge or restructure parts of their business with others. Transactions help organisations do all that while making more informed decisions and building better strategies. In Restructuring, we advise organisations - and other affected parties - when they are underperforming or in distress, on the best course of action. Through independent analysis, we help them either get back on track or go through insolvency procedures like administration or receivership.
What will you be doing?
As part of our team, you'll get straight to work on real client projects. Over the course of the programme you can expect to contribute to challenging assignments, learn how to make quick, practical decisions and work through problems with conviction in your process. You'll also be:
Throughout, you'll study to become a qualified chartered accountant through the ICAEW in England or ICAS in Scotland, and you'll have support from your team, too. At the end of the programme, you'll have gained professional qualifications, lots of practical experience and built a strong network of mentors and peers to help you keep developing.

You'll work as part of small high-performing teams, so working well with others, organisation, communication, as well as be able to think critically, is essential.
Personal qualities
Determination, ambition, dedication,enthusiasmand energy are essential in this role.
Desired qualifications
You'll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalents) in English Language & maths and to have completed three A-Levels, five Scottish Highers or equivalent by the time the programme starts.
Future prospects
Working in Transactions at EY, you'll get to work on a variety of client projects, gain professional qualifications all whilst building your professional network and knowledge. This will open up opportunities to work abroad as well as open doors for your future career.

- Undertaking an arrange of tasks required to manage a company that is going through an insolvency process
- Assisting with solvent and insolvent liquidation processes
