Our client based in Derbyshire, has been successful growing business since 2004 specialising in web design and Marketing working with clients in across the UK and all over the world. With the aim to make web and computers made easy as possible for their clients.

The business are now looking to expand and would like you to join them working as a software developer apprentice working alongside a small team of 3 colleagues and management team of two office Dogs! (Must be an animal lover) as they do like to make an appearance every now & then!

Job Role
You'll work as part of the team to learn about the latest technologies used to deliver what is needed, including C# within the MVC framework, supported by the use of test driven development (TDD), continuous integration using Team City and continuous deployment using Octopus Deploy.

As a Microsoft Software Developer Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:

Off the shelf website related
  • Developing new features
  • Integrating new design themes
  • Bug fixing and troubleshooting

Bespoke Work
  • Ad-hoc bespoke work for existing clients ranging from creating new features and building new pages to a full website build

Client Facing
  • Technical Support

  • You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a brilliant telephone manner
  • An interest in software development is mandatory


Personal qualities

We require a bright, enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a genuine desire to learn and build a career within the IT industry. You will have a friendly personality.

Desired qualifications

  • You must have at least a C (4) grade GCSE or equivalentin both maths & English and in three or four other subjects at least
  • You will have completed ideally a Level 3 IT/software apprenticeship or at least a Level 3 BTEC and/or A level in software development or have experience in a similar role
