Our client is a trusted supplier of superannuation, pension, life insurance, investment, wrap, private wealth and funds administration software and related professional services.

They are looking for an individual to join their Shared Services team as an IT Support Apprentice on a fixed term basis. During this apprenticeship, you will study the IT Support & Networking Apprenticeship Level 4. The role of IT Support Apprentice is to work as part of the Shared Services team, providing assistance to other teams including Application Support, Database Support, Service Delivery Management, Change Management as well as all areas of the ITIL life cycle.

KEY DUTIES -
  • Work alongside our offshore teams and employees that are required to work from home
  • Understand the needs of the organisation and develop initiatives from both the teams and themselves
  • Will work alongside the project management team through to the support teams implementing project governance from start to finish
  • Work with the Shared Services team to understand customer requirements, implement service improvement and initiatives, whilst providing procedural documentation for users to follow
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to understand security threats
  • Undertake ICT awareness initiatives, maintain and update security procedures currently in place
  • Work alongside the Corporate IT team to understand the methods used for data communication
  • Work alongside both the Support, Change Management and SIT teams to understand the company's maintenance philosophy and improve remediation to faults
  • Work alongside line manager to understand the principles of positive staff management
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to realise improvement for the department
  • Work alongside the Corporate IT team to learn and manage best practices associated with ICT management

Desired qualifications

To be an IT Support Apprentice you will need to be a tech enthusiast, educated to A-level (or equivalent) with a minimum of grade C or above. Furthermore, they will require a GSCE maths and English with a minimum of grade C/4 or above.
