This is a great opportunity to join a teamof experienced communications professionals in a fast paced press office and marketing environment. We are looking for someone with strong writing skills, a knowledge of social media and a willingness to learn. In return you will be part of a creative and supportive team who will help you achieve your goals.

Due to the nature of the work no two days will be the same, from dealing with major crimes and emergencies to long term campaign work on issues such as domestic abuse and cybercrime.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary uses a broad range of digital channels and design all marketing materials in house so we can provide the successful candidate with a great deal of hands on experience.

Here is what a past apprentice wrote about the PR apprenticeship at the Cambridgeshire Constabulary:

"A year in and it's been the best of my life so far.
Along the way I have written press releases to local newspapers and radio stations, lead a two month campaign, managed the force social media accounts and created posters that have been distributed around the county.
What's more, I've and got to know countless amounts of new people both in and outside of the organisation. From filming the chief constable to liaising and meeting journalists, it's been one huge rollercoaster that I never want to get off of.
Being on the top floor of Headquarters you will help maintain the force's reputation alongside a team of fantastic people.
As a student 18 months ago, I never would've thought I could achieve so much in one year.
Take it from me, you'll never feel Sunday dread again."
