Projects can range from a small housing extension to a large city centre redevelopment.

In this apprenticeship you will gain experience in:
  • Working closely with architects, designers, builders and engineers
  • Making sure building designs and plans meet correct standards
  • Ways to make the building project more cost effective like reducing energy and water use
  • Carrying out regular site inspections at each stage of the building process
  • Recording site inspections
  • Managing building control documentation throughout the design and construction process

This apprenticeship will be office based and accompanying experienced surveyors on site visits.

  • Good problem solving skills
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

Desired qualifications

The entry requirement for the Degree Apprenticeship is 112 UCAS points, e.g. grades BBC at A-Level or DMM at BTEC.

You must have at least Grace C/4(or equivalent) in GCSE maths and English or equivalents.

Things to consider
