What does the apprenticeship include?
This four-year Aerospace Software Development Degree Apprenticeship provides the opportunity to work within our Military Air and Information business along with the opportunity to study for a Foundation Degree on a part time basis at a local HE establishment, and the potential to continue on an Honours Degree programme, dependent on individual performance and business needs.
As an Aerospace Software Development Degree Apprentice you will become highly trained and closely mentored within the software discipline. This ensures that we deliver the right engineers to that discipline with exactly the right match of skills and knowledge to work within our technical environments.

What are the entry requirements?
To apply for the Aerospace Software Developer Degree Apprenticeship you’ll require:
Five GCSE's grade A*-C/4-9 (or equivalent) including Maths, English Language and Double Science AND 240/96 UCAS points or equivalent (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level) to include Maths plus at least one further STEM based subject excluding general studies.
Applicants will also be expected to be medically fit for the role, be eligible to work in the UK and be able to successfully achieve security clearance.
What are my future job prospects?
Upon completion of your apprenticeship, typical roles include the design, development and production of both airborne and ground based software including (but not limited to) for test equipment, training systems and simulators, structural health monitoring, spares and logistical support systems, communications command and control systems etc.
