Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

No formal skills required as training will be provided. Enthusiasm to learn and be involved in CSR's projects is the main thing we are looking for. Someone who can help with the day-to-day running of our facility and doesn't mind getting involved with other duties as they arise.

Personal qualities

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Commercial awareness and a developing organisational understanding
  • A logical approach and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to manage own time in accordance with a broad schedule

Desired qualifications

Individual employers will set their own entry requirements for their apprentices. The minimum entry requirements for Level 4 entry to the programme are as follows:
  • A-Level BBB

or
  • BTEC National DiplomaDDM

or
  • Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 120 UCAS points supported by substantial relevant work experience
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs 7-4/A-C including maths and English or equivalent

Future prospects

Hosting is sometimes required for clients who use our facility late. This ranges between 0 to 4 evenings per month depending on the season. Overtime is paid for any hosting, as well as your evening meal provided (£10 on Deliveroo) and a taxi home paid by CSR. The finish time ranges between 8pm and 11pm, depending on the client.

Things to consider

We are looking for a person fit with the team rather than a skill fit. We're a small business of 12 employees with an extremely low staff turnover. Most of our employees have been with us for more than 15 years, and it doesn't matter if you are the MD or the most junior on the team, everyone pitches in.
