To develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the level 4 Housing apprenticeship standard - see separate document available from BCP Council website.

Duties include:
  • To be part of the Housing Options team, managing own case load, recognising people's needs and responding accordingly, and providing excellent customer service through giving advice
  • To provide comprehensive efficient, effective support service to the Housing Options Team
  • To provide a frontline face to face and telephone advice service for Housing, general housing enquiries and offer accurate advice on a range of housing related services

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Data Protection Regulations Accessing/maintaining IT based information systems
  • Working knowledge of Housing/Homelessness legislation including a range of housing options

Desired qualifications

2 A-levels or equivalent, or relevant experience, or a level 3 qualification in a related subject area.

Future prospects

Progress into a Senior Housing Management position at the end of this apprenticeship programme.

  • Ability to travel around the BCP Council area (and to other areas of the UK) in an agreed timely manner
  • Ability to speak fluent English
