What is the Degree Apprenticeship in Digital and Technology at EY?

Working in supportive teams in either Assurance, Consulting, People Advisory Services, Tax or Transactions, you'll help EY and our clients find new ways of using artificial intelligence and other innovative technologies to improve their business. You can specialise in data analytics within one of our service lines.

What will you be doing?

On a day-to-day basis you could be helping teams to solve client problems using technologies like blockchain, or analysing huge data sets and building insights to present to clients and EY specialist teams. The work and clients will be varied, so you'll gain knowledge and skills that will set you up for a rewarding career.

The work you'll be doing could include:
  • Designing, prototyping and building new tech solutions for clients
  • Helping clients use the latest technology to solve complex issues like fraud
  • Building data solutions to provide analysis on large data sets so you can share insights with clients and EY specialist teams

You'll be constantly learning as you balance on-the-job training alongside studying towards your BSc. You'll also gain a host of transferable skills, on-the-job coaching and support from a careers counsellor to ensure that you reach your potential.

Desired skills

You don't need to have any prior technical experience or qualifications - we are looking for people who are passionate about technology and have a strong desire to learn. Our degree apprenticeship offers you the chance to combine a business and technology career in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding field.

You'll work as part of small high-performing teams, so working well with others, as well as be able to think critically, is essential.

Personal qualities

Determination, ambition and energy are essential in this role. Above all, you'll be passionate about technology.

Desired qualifications

If you're passionate about technology, business and have a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & maths and have completed three A-Levels, five Scottish Highers or equivalent by the time the programme starts, this programme is for you. For our Data Analytics Consulting programme, you'll also need A Level or equivalents in maths.

Future prospects

A role on the EY Degree Apprenticeship in Digital & Technology combined with achieving a degree, should not be underestimated in terms of the experiences it opens up. Having gained a grounding in the IT aspects of finance industry and exposure to our large client base, you'll have awealth of practical experience to compound your theoretical knowledge. And this will open opportunities both inside and outside EY.

  • Be 18or over when starting the apprenticeship (for legal reasons)
  • Not in full-time education when starting the apprenticeship
  • UK/EEA Nationality or Permanent Residency Status orResiding in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years prior to starting your apprenticeship
