Our client is a growing business based in Alcester, with over 20 year's experience providing IT services to their clients such as IT Support, Cyber security & business telephone systems.

The business is now looking to expand their IT team and would like you to join them working as a software developer apprentice.

Job Role:

You'll work as part of the team to learn about the latest technologies used to deliver what is needed, including C# within the MVC framework, supported using test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration using Team City and continuous deployment using Octopus Deploy.

As a Software Developer Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Developing new features
  • Backend coding for software programmes
  • Providing software support
  • Bug fixing and troubleshooting
  • Ad-hoc bespoke work for existing clients ranging from creating new features and building new pages to a full website build
  • Technical Support

Intequal, in partnership with the Microsoft Apprenticeship Programme, are offering an exciting new opportunity to embark on a career as a Software Developer Apprentice at Level 4.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Must have a passion for coding
  • Level 3 Qualification in Software Dev.
  • 18- 24 months experience working in a software development role


Personal qualities

We require a bright, enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a genuine desire to learn and build a career within the IT industry. You will have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.

Desired qualifications

You must have at least a C grade in both GCSE maths & English and in three or four other subjects at least. You will have completed ideally a Level 3 IT/software apprenticeship or at least a Level 3 BTEC and/or A level in software development or have practical experience in a similar role.

Future prospects

Opportunity to qualify as a level 4 software developer.
