This role is for a trainee Engineer within Digital and Technology working towards the required qualifications and experience for a Network Engineer role.
As an apprentice Engineer you will be responsible for assisting in a high quality, practical, flexible Network Service that meets the overall requirement of Sainsbury's business, and alongside this you will work towards being a recognised Technology expert in Networking.
KeyDuties:
As you progress in your Apprenticeship you will be given additional duties and responsibilities to ensure you gain a broad set of skills, knowledge and experience in the business.

You will need at least a 5 GCSE grade 4/C including maths & English. You will have completed ideally a Level 3 IT apprenticeship or at least a Level 3 BTEC and/or A level in ICT or have practical experience in a similar role.

- Work closely with the Network Services team to ensure the smooth implementation of solutions
- Contribute to the improvement of the Network Services capability within the company
- Help to ensure the roles and responsibilities of the Network Team are fulfilled
- Communicate and engage with team and any stakeholders
- Implement network systems and components in accordance within defined processes
- Play a part in the management of issues, and incidents within the Network environment
- Works closely with the Network Services team to ensure the smooth implementation of solutions
- Demonstrate participation with senior team members to aid in the implementation of signed off design documents with the Network Services Lead and Senior Network Engineers
