The technical support team is part of the largest team within Retirement, Defined Benefit Consulting, which provides advice on running many of the largest UK Defined Benefit (or Final Salary) pension schemes.

Actuarial Apprenticeship Programme – Level 4 Technical Analyst

Demonstrate your passion for client delivery in financial consulting services and make an immediate impact. You’ll learn what we do for our clients as you build strong working relationships and develop valuable skills from day one. In return we will fully support you with studying towards an internationally recognised actuarial qualification (Certified Actuarial Analyst) to go with your salary and benefits package.
You’ll be working with our Consulting Support Team which is part of the largest UK consulting team providing advice to many of the leading UK company pension schemes. The Analyst Apprentice is a consulting support role where you will work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects serving as a key resource for our many client teams.
Typical work will include:
- Complex data manipulation
- Calculating and valuing the benefits of individual members
- Pension scheme valuations
- Accounting disclosures
- Monthly client billing
- Cross-departmental projects
You will be part of a small local apprentice team but also included in a wider growing group of apprentices in other offices and disciplines. Your manager and assigned mentor will be on hand at all times to fully guide you through your programme - making adjustments as necessary to ensure you achieve your full potential.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to join and progress within the Consulting Support Team. You will continue to grow and develop new skills supported by our extensive in-house training resources and tailored programmes. We will provide ongoing support enabling you to complete the exams and become a Certified Actuarial Analyst.
- 112 UCAS points (2017 tariff) across 3 A-Levels including at least a B grade in Maths.
