DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
Early Birds Nursery at Finberry, part of Finberry Primary School, have a truly fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Nursery Teaching Assistant to join us and be part of our established Nursery provision.

Early Birds Nursery at Finberry, part of Finberry Primary School, have a truly fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Nursery Teaching Assistant to join us and be part of our established Nursery provision.
32.5 hours a week, £6 per hour.

In partnership with Kent Training and Apprenticeships we offering candidates the chance to work towards a Level 2 Certificate Early Years Practitioner, fully funded by The Stour Academy Trust.

The level 2 course aims to teach learners about:

· Exploring roles and development opportunities in early years settings

• Child development from birth to 7 years

• Safeguarding babies and young children in early years settings

• Supporting health and safety in early years settings

• Promoting wellbeing in early years settings

• Supporting effective communication in early years settings

• Supporting activities, purposeful play and educational programmes

• Understand how to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities

• Working with parents, colleagues and other professionals in early years settings

The successful candidate will work in our Nursery as a Nursery Teaching Assistant whilst completing the level 2 course.

Candidates will require at least a C grade in Maths and English GCSE.

WAGE
£6 per hour

HOURS
Monday – Friday (Term time only)
32.5 hours – 8.30-3.45

SKILLS REQUIRED
Able to support the children with their educational, physical, emotional and social development, and play an active role alongside the teacher in shaping the learning of the class

PERSONAL QUALITIES
We are looking for someone who can bring motivation, energy and excellent communication skills to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Candidates will require at least a C grade in Maths and English GCSE.

TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
