The Communications and Brand Advisor, reporting to the Strategic Communications Manager, will be responsible for developing communications materials to engage a range of audiences across a variety of channels.

The primary focus of their role will be to produce branded communications materials and coordinate customer and stakeholder research activity.

The job holder will also work closely with the Strategic Communications Manager to conduct research to help the PPF measure its reputation and better understand its members and stakeholders. There is an opportunity to be part of the process of selecting and appointing a new research agency.

As part of a growing Communications team, the Communications and Brand Advisor will also be able to develop their understanding and skills in other communications disciplines, through ad hoc support for colleagues across other channels such as social media and internal communications and other projects as required.

The Communications and Brand Advisor will study for a Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.

Duties will include:
  • Coordinate the design of PPF branded materials. Liaise between internal stakeholders and the external design agency to get feedback on draft materials and pass on design and copy changes. Use excellent attention to detail to make sure changes are made accurately
  • Make sure materials are on brand, produced according to brief, delivered within agreed timescales and that internal stakeholders are kept up-to-date
  • Support with copy-writing and proofreading as needed
  • Orgaisephoto-shoots and source stock photos from image libraries
  • Make sure people photographed have given the relevant permission for their photos to be used
  • Workwith the Strategic Communications Manager to appoint and on-board a research agency and to produce a brief according to business needs
  • Work with the agency to develop research materials, including questionnaires, discussion guides and participant sample lists
  • Review results and share with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team members to keep the Communications Calendar up-to-date to make sure campaigns are coordinated across channels and to help everyone plan for workload pressure points
  • Provide ad hoc support in the Communications team e.g. monitoring social media, posting on internal screens and posting on the intranet
  • Work closely with Communications team colleagues to ensure key messages are coordinated across all the PPF's internal and external channels
  • Work with the Strategic Communications Manager to plan and develop email marketing campaigns aimed at customer and professional audiences

Desired qualifications

Desirable:
  • Experience of working in a communications/marketing/brand/design environment
  • Writing experience
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths at grade 4 (equivalent to a C) or above is desired
