What will the apprentice be doing?
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a number of different projects focusing on data analysis through spreadsheets and graphics, and sustainable abstraction. The role will also support other key work areas, all of which would have data handling as a focus offering a great opportunity to get some practical experience with real data.
You will join our water resources teams and will also be part of a wider apprentice community.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
A minimum of 20% is delivered off-the-job, the rest of your time will be in the workplace. You'll be responsible for completing coursework on time, maintaining up to date evidence for your assessments and putting into practice what you're learning. After successful completion of this apprenticeship you'll receive the following qualifications: BCS KM1: Data Analysis Tools and BCS KM2: Data Analysis Concepts.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We cannot guarantee a permanent position on completion of the apprenticeship but you will be able to apply for suitable positions within the Environment Agency, and we will do our best to support you with this.
