The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to

candidates enrolled onto funded apprenticeship programmes.

The position holder will engage and support a caseload of up to 40 learners to achieve qualifications in a timely manner by providing meaningful teaching/learning and assessment sessions, conducting regular formal progress reviews and following the delivery guideline.

The position holder will be delivering Functional Skills as part of the overall apprenticeship framework or an approved apprenticeship Standard within agreed timeline. It is also required that the position holder will have good understanding/experience in conducting initial assessments, embedding Functional Skills, British Values,elements ofSafeguardingandequalityanddiversityintoteachingsessionsincludingconducting final exams/tests.

The position holder is expected to take full responsibility for their own caseload, engage and retain learners, and meet performance targets as set by the line manager

a) To engage in teaching, assessment and related activities with learners every4-6 weeks

b) Ensure Prevista's timely success rate in achievements is a minimum of 97% for all learners

c) Ensure all delivery meets Prevista's and funder's quality and auditrequirements

d) To maintain paperwork, administration and/or online enrolment error rate ofless than5%

e) Observation of Teaching, Learning and Assessment grade of 2 orabove

Principal Accountabilitis:

a) Demonstrate competence through qualifications and experience across the full suite of qualifications to bedelivered.

b) Manageowncaseloadeffectivelyusinge-portfoliotoprogresslearnerseffectivelyfrom start to timelycompletion.

c) Have an excellent knowledge of apprenticeships Standards as well as framework.

d) Deliver new apprenticeship Standards following to the approved assessment plan and ensuring preparation of learners for final end pointassessment.

e) Ability to design learning and assessment activities that meet the outcomes for apprenticeships Standards and job roles in yoursector/s

f) Travel to various learner placements within London and occasionally where required outside ofLondon.

g) Supportbothlevyandnon-levyfundedlearnersonapprenticeshipprogrammes

h) Respond to learner and employer queries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regular contact is maintained for the full duration of the learner journey and qualification.

i) Where not provided, carry out a thorough induction and robust initial assessment and diagnostic process, establishing the correct level and qualification a learner should beundertaking.

j) Ensure the Individual Learning Plan is maintained and updatedregularly.

k) Follow TAQA and QCF code of practice to ensure a quality learner journey is made available to alllearners.

l) Followguidancewithregardstoteachingandassessmentpracticeandthecompletion of paperwork, ensuring the relevant compliant documentation isused.

m) Undertake regular CPD training as agreed by the Team Managr and IQA

n) Be responsible for own professional development to maintain competency in your sector

o) Attend regular standardisation/team meetings to ensure consistency with other assessors and InternalVerifiers.

p) Respond to feedback in a timely and professionalmanner?.

q) Ensuring learners are supported according to their specific needs,

r) Usetechnologytoteachandfullyengagewithlearners-onlinetools,interactive sessions, webinars, remotelearning.

s) Ensure that anyone else involved in the assessment process gives their consent, especially where this may mean intrusion into areas of privacy andconfidentiality.

t) Promote apprenticeships during the course of your engagement with leaners and employers.

u) Follow and act on any guidance given by the TeamManager

v) Update the Team Manager on a weekly or monthly basis with individual learner's progress.

w) Ensure that learners are fully aware of current legislation relating to them and their assessment including maintaining compliance with 'Safe Learner'requirements.

x) Undertake any other duties as and whenrequired

Knowledge and skills:

a) 2-year minimum experience of Apprenticeship and Functional Skills ledtraining programmes - essential

b) Relevant QCF Assessor and Verifier qualifications - e.g., D32/A1 Assessor-essential

c) D34/V1 Internal Verifiers/Internal Quality Assurer -desirable

d) Hold/Working towards an IAG qualification -essential

e) Experience of using e-portfolios and good IT skills -essential

f) Good organisational skills -essential

g) Managing day to day relationship with learners -essential

h) Provide Weekly/monthly reports as required for timely completion of learners-essential

i) Co-coordinating the recruitment of learners with Business Relationship Managers and other employer engagement functions in the business -essential

j) Excellent attention to detail - essentia
