Sales and Customer Support Advisor Apprentice
Based in a beautiful rural farm setting, UK Euro Connect are an established company (founded in 1991), buying / selling and specialising in commercial printing products.
We buy mainly in Europe and sell worldwide. We are a small dedicated team who have specialist purchasing, sales, service, warehouse, business admin functions.
As a company we have many years’ experience of helping employees to develop and grow, learning all aspects of our business.
DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
Sales and long-term customer relationships are the life blood of our company.
The team that recruit, retain and develop those relationships are vital to us.
We are looking for 2 Apprentices to work and develop in our Sales team, to help manage our existing customers, and recruit and develop new ones.
We have a strong track record in developing people, and have a robust commission scheme that rewards sales and long term company success.
Assist the established team, to maintain / manage and grow sales from our existing customers UK and International customers.
Deputise for the existing team in their absence.
Contact largely by telephone, e mail, marketing leads and online referrals.
Use data bases, internal systems, etc. of potential new customers to recruit, quote and negotiate rates, and place new orders resulting in long term profitable business and ongoing customer relationships.
Starting at £4.50 / hr, raising to £5 / hr after 3 months, plus commission.
9-5 / Mon – Fri
Confidence, willingness to learn, motivated by giving great service and achieving a sale.
Ability to learn and accurately use systems to generate quotes and orders.
The ability to independently (once trained) as part of a small team is key.
Being a small team, the skill to be flexible and help where needed is important.
The potential to grow /develop and remain as a permanent member of the team is required.
Just as important is experience working / volunteering / being part of a small team to deliver a common aim /objective.
Self-starting, keen, enthusiastic, flexible, PC literate, good orator, confidence, independence, motivated by service / sales, negotiation, people person.
Good GCSE’s, particularly maths / English and IT. We are looking for candidates who would / could / have gone on to study to A level standard.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
