About Us:
We are a small firm of professional financial planners in Nantwich. We currently have four members of staff. We share office space with our parent firm, an accountancy practice, so there are about 25 people here altogether.

About You:
We're looking for somebody who is qualified to at least A-level standard, who would like a professional career but doesn't want to go to university. You will receive training to complete the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. This is a level 4 qualification so we need somebody who is capable of studying, and passing exams, at that level. We expect you to complete your training in two to three years.

You'll need to be highly numerate. You'll also need good communication skills, both written and oral. You need to be able to meet Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) fit and proper person requirements and have high ethical standards. Strong IT skills will be needed, including the ability to produce professional quality letters and spreadsheets. You need good attention to detail, to be very thorough, conscientious and well organised.

We want somebody with a 'can do' attitude; a willingness to get the job done, whatever it takes. You should prepared to work outside normal office hours at busy times.

Duties will include:
  • Producing portfolio valuations for clients
  • Reconciling commission and fees received against statements
  • Contacting product providers for valuations, illustrations and other information
  • Taking phone calls from clients and arranging appointments
  • Producing packs of information for client meetings
  • Writing letters and emails to clients and product providers
  • Collating documents to be sent to clients
  • Processing applications and forwarding them to product providers
  • Submitting online business
  • Assisting other members of staff, as the need arises.


Your range of duties will expand as your training progresses.
