Assistant Facilities Manager

Permanent, Full Time 37 hours, GBP25,153 per annum plus on call allowance

In conjunction with the Operations Manager, the Assistant Facilities Manager will ensure that the school buildings and the school site are maintained to a high standard, are secure and offer the maximum effective use to meet the needs of the school day and extended hours provision. You will deputise in the absence of the Operations Manager. You will also line manage a team of caretakers and day cleaner.

The Assistant Facilities Manager must have experience in a similar role, a Level 3 recognised qualification in Facilities Management or substantial relevant professional experience. An IOSH Managing Health & Safety qualification or similar is also required.

We are a large and highly successful special school educating some 260 students aged 2-19, who, due to their complex needs, require significant specialist support to succeed academically and achieve their full potential.

Our students' needs range from requiring additional pastoral and emotional support, through those with moderate and severe learning difficulties to some having profound, multiple learning and complex health problems.
