    Knowledge of statistics and the ability to explain concepts and data to users at all levels of experience.

    Knowledge of use of data warehousing and data modelling.

    Experience of SPSS or other statistical programme.

    Experience of R, Python or other programming language.

    Desired qualifications


    • A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A* - C (9-4) or equivalent, including English and Maths at grade B (6) or above
    • A-Levels/BTEC National Diploma or equivalent


    • A first degree or equivalent professional qualification or knowledge/experience.
    Future prospects

    On successful completion of your apprenticeship there may be opportunities to take up a permanent role at the University. As your career develops, you may wish to continue your studies and enrol on a higher or degree level apprenticeship or you may choose to progress to full-time University study. Further studies could take you to University level training such as an FdSc or BSc.

    Generous pay- As you learn and develop on the apprentice scheme, youll be taking home a salary which has the potential to grow as you gain more experience (depending on the duration of your apprenticeship scheme). Grade D Apprentice salary starts on 14,288 per year (7.53) per hour for the first year rising to 18,890 (9.95 per hour) in the second year at our 2017/18 rates).Working week: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to FridayThe working week is inclusive of one day with the training provider.Other benefits of working with us Holidays - You will be given a generous holiday allowance of 39 days (28 discretionary, 8 bank holidays and 3 closure days).
