Duties will include:
  • Requesting quotations
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Expedite / follow up on orders placed
  • Communicating with suppliers by phone / email / face to face
  • Attending supplier meetings (both at DTL and on suppliers sites)
  • Liaising with other department functions (engineering / project management / quality / production / stores)
  • Dealing with resulting queries / escalating within the team where required
  • Collating item information (from suppliers)
  • Maintaining system data (item creation / purchase order due dates)
  • Involvement in perpetual stock checking and maintaining stock accuracy
  • Involvement in transport / courier services - arranging shipment and related paperwork
  • Use of SAP (MRP) (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing)
  • Involvement in KPI reporting (Key performance Indicators)

Please note for the right candidate starting wage can be discussed, you will also receive pay reviews. Applicants will be required to undergo an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
