We are looking for some technically savvy and resourceful people to join the innovative and exciting world of software and web development. Like the sound of building apps, business software, ecommerce platforms and interest catching websites? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team on an apprenticeship basis to become a Software & Web Developer. This is a great way to learn on the job in a supportive and encouraging environment whilst earning a qualification at the same time. We are a group of like minded developers where you will gain exposure to the following programming languages: C#, PHP, HTML, CSS, SQL, ASP.NET, Java, Web API, JavaScript, Unity, Xamerin, Bootstrap and Ruby on Rails. You will be involved in projects from start to finish and support beyond.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Working as part of a team alongside Senior Developers and Project Managers
  • Understanding the features and functionalities of different tech
  • Writing and testing systems
  • Creating basic websites
  • Working with the web to get the best solutions
  • Using and improving existing bespoke applications
  • Working with bespoke CMS
  • Building, hosting, deploying and supporting new and existing projects
  • Taking a collaborative approach to product development
  • Seek to constantly improve efficiencies to gain greater results for the company's clients
  • Develop solutions to the required company quality, design, coding, performance and security standards
  • Test solutions thoroughly and prioritise the use of automated testing standards and techniques
  • Ensure quality and continuous improvement through code reviews
  • Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge and ensure the continuous growth of our working environment

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • A passion for Digital and willingness to learn
  • Proficient with HTML & CSS
  • Design of software components and data models
  • Knowledge of Data Development including the use of SQL Databases
  • Knowledge of back end coding
  • An understanding of front-end usability and accessibility
  • Knowledge of WordPress or other platforms
  • Knowledge of mobile App coding would be advantageous
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take individual responsibilities
