What impact will I have in this role?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Tooling/Patternshop Apprentice to join the team in planning, changing and maintaining the patterns which go in to the manufacturing of our wide catalogue of products. This position involves an apprenticeship at an external provider (1 week per month) offering a broad range of practical experience, transferable skills and background theory to eventually develop the successful applicant in to a skilled position.

As a Tooling/Patternshop Apprentice with PAM, your core responsibilities will include:

Maintenance of existing core and casting patterns, including repairs and modifications.
Liaising with Technical and external departments to ensure accuracy and viability of pattern design.
Ensure best use of raw materials through planning efficient pattern layouts.
Involvement in new product development projects by providing specialist knowledge regarding patterns and design.
Adhere to all safety policies and regulations, while working within a safe system of work.What kind of person are you looking for?
