Desired qualifications
An honours degree (2:2 or above) in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subject.
Equivalent professional qualifications and/or relevant work experience may also be considered. In this case the applicant will have to complete an interview with the application.
Plus GCSE or equivalent qualifications (Level 2) in English and maths (A*-C or 9-4). Before taking their end-point assessment, allapprentices on apprenticeships at level 3 and above must achieve Level 2 English and maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades A* to C or 4 -9).The apprentice can take these qualifications at the university while on the apprenticeship.

- Preparing of usable data by accessing, collecting, cleaning data from various applications and systems
- Creating, and maintaining efficient databases
- Building data pipelines by taking data from one system to the next
- Defining the sizing of infrastructure, pipelines, ETL, structured and unstructured data storage
- Monitoring and managing all the data assets (scalability, security, performance, DevOps)
- Deploying the NLP/ML models
Data Analysis:
- Expertise in data analysis and tools to translate raw numbers into actionable insights
- Understanding of business language to collect data from various sources - production, finance systems, insurance claims, logistics etc.
- Ability to create visual illustration and charts to convey the meaning of the data - such as daily sales outstanding, inventory ABC analysis, cash flow trends etc.

- Good in Python Programming
- Have basic understanding of Python libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Sklearn
- Have good understanding of SQL / No SQL Databases
- Basic Data Wrangling skills
- Good to have Cloud systems like AWS, GCP and Azure
- Good to know Visualization techniques along with libraries like Seaborn , Matplotlib and Plotly
Personal qualities
- Communication skills - particularly in explaining probabilistic outcomes to clients
- Collaboration skills - to work independently in remote and distributed context
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
