What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Employment is not guaranteed at the end of the apprenticeship. It is, however, anticipated that the role holder will gain the skills and qualifications required to apply for relevant University job vacancies, and will possess a qualification recognised by the industry as being fully qualified in the appointed trade.

The main responsibilities are to:
- Act as a point of contact and investigate and respond to a wide range of financial enquiries from colleagues
- Process journals, accruals and prepayment to ensure accurate monthly management information
- Support the budget and forecasting process
- Monitor and update staffing establishments
- Provide financial reports as required by budget holders
- Maintain an auditable financial filing system
- Advise and train other financial system users in the University
