You will be involved indeveloping production processes, ingredient specifications, packaging information, product life and the quality & safety of food at all stages of production.

Duties will include:
  • Support pilot plant trials and factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at our manufacturing sites
  • Support generation of document control and process relating to project
  • Monitor current trends and consumer food behaviours
  • Work with the Sensory team to evaluate product performance and further consumer and sensory understanding of category
  • Understand the ingredients relating to specific products and work with suppliers

In addition to this you will have the opportunity to study towards a BSc Food Industry Technical Professional Degree Apprenticeship. This work-based 3-year programme is designed to provide the essential knowledge, understanding, skills and experience required to operate effectively and successfully in a Product Technologist role.

Desired qualifications

  • 3 A-Levels or equivalent (preference for A-Levels in science, maths, Food Science subjects)

Things to consider

The role will include some travel to other sites (to be agreed) as part of understanding working practices within the company.

We will pay you a competitive starting salary for the real job that you are joining us for, and we will also pay all costs for University block-release study at Sheffield Hallam University.
