Duties will include:
After successful completion of an induction and orientation process, candidates will join one of the IT Service sub-teams, where they will receive mentoring and support from colleagues in order to support them in their role. The work pattern is four days per-week working, with one day per week for study (term-time), and five days per week working (non term-time).

Duties will include:
- To resolve IT related issues, logging and thoroughly investigating through to effective resolution/escalation where necessary
- To ensure timely, efficient and proactive fault diagnostics and resolution of all incidents, problems and requests relating to IT Services
- To deliver outstanding customer service
- To communicate effectively with all affected parties throughout the lifecycle of an issue or project
- To maintain operational processes and procedures in the form of a knowledge base available to the entire IT Services team
- To follow and contribute to a robust and documented change control process
- To ensure all asset management procedures are followed
- To accurately update and maintain information in the IT Service Management System
- To contribute to operational reports
- To assist in delivering IT strategic goals
- To help identify and report on own development plans and training opportunities where possible. Contribute to own development through the staff performance review system and regular one to one meetings
- Actively contribute to the development and improvement of the IT Service by scanning for appropriate new technologies and contributing to Service Improvement plans

Desired qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in IT, Computer Studies or related discipline
- Willingness to undertake further studies in pursuit of a Network Engineering (Cyber Security) BSc Hons qualification at B&FC
- Vendor IT qualification such as Cisco ICND1/2, MCP, CompTIA, or similar
Experience:
- Familiarity with the Windows 10 operating system and common applications such as Microsoft Office
- One years' experience of working in an IT Support Team
- One years' experience of supporting, configuring and troubleshooting IT equipment/devices/systems
- One years' experience of supporting classroom IT technology
- Experience of working with an IT Service Management solution
- Experience with asset management solutions
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems
- Experience with Linux operating systems

- Possible full time position on successful completion of apprenticeship
