The candidate needs to have at least two years' experience in auditing and ideally should have some accounts experience as well and should have a full driver's licence and transport.The role involves travelling to client's premises to carry out field work, attend meetings, pick-up and delivery of books and records.Our client base is located within Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas of the countryside, which makes driving essential where there is often no available public transport links to client bases.

Day to day duties include:
  • Carry out field work and audit testing at client offices
  • Collating, checking and analysing spreadsheet data
  • Examining company accounts and financial control systems
  • Gauging levels of financial risk within organisations
  • Checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable
  • Ensuring that assets are safeguarded
  • Identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be made
  • Preparing reports, commentaries and financial statements
  • Liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations
  • Ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed

  • Salary will be based on the candidate's experience.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills
