ARE YOU NEWLY QUALIFIED OR AN EXPERIENCED THEATRE PRACTITIONER LOOKING FOR AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO PROGRESS YOUR LEARNING AND CAREER?

Due to recent in internal promotions and the opening of our Main Theatre Expansion, we are looking to recruit. We are looking for dynamic, hardworking and enthusiastic Band 5 Theatre Practitioners, within Anaesthetic/Recovery/Scrub to work with us in our 12 Theatre Operating Suite.

The successful candidates will either be Registered General Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners. All candidates will be expected to participate in at least 2 disciplines - anaesthetics/scrub/recovery.

We are proud of our ethos of welcoming new practitioners and providing a friendly, team orientated environment. We provide an in depth induction and an excellent preceptorship package tailored to individual needs. In house and external training is available to support you in your continued professional development and assist you in achieving your long term career goals. This includes Leadership and Management opportunities.

The Trust has 11 Operating Theatres: 6 in Main Theatre and 4 in Day Surgery Unit at Warwick Hospital and 2 at Stratford Hospital providing a variety of surgical specialities, including Orthopaedics, Trauma, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT, General, Breast, Ophthalmology and Dental. The Main Theatre suite has an integrated Laparoscopic Theatre undertaking a variety of procedures as whilst expanding the service in the future.

Participation in 24/7 rota working would be an essential part of this post.

To incentivise participation in this, the Trust has developed an innovative bonus payment for Registered Practitioners band 5 and 6 who have the required emergency skill set for out of hours work at weekends and overnight 8pm to 8am. This payment includes the Agenda for Change hourly rate including unsociable hours enhancements PLUS an additional £14 per hour.
