Northampton Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust wishes to recruit an Information Analyst to their Business & Intelligence team.

NHFT's Business & Intelligence Team is a function of the Finance Directorate and is responsible for performance improvement and contract management of existing services. In order to deliver on these responsibilities and support the wider organisation in achieving their goals, the Business & Intelligence Team is also responsible for the development and reporting of NHFT's Integrated Reporting Framework which spans all areas of service delivery expectation.

National returns, national datasets, and contractual returns are all managed through this team as are the far more comprehensive internal reporting requirements of a large and varied NHS Foundation Trust. Ensuring the right information is in the right hands on as timely a basis as possible is a key requirement of our team, as is the provision of advice and support in both the interpretation of information and the support of solutions that redress any issues the information may highlight.

Current platforms utilise SQL, and Excel, and any technical skills in these areas though preferable, are not essential, as training will be given. What is more important is the ability to process and rationalise information, contextualise problems and communicate ideas to a variety of audiences. Key relationships will be with team members, clinicians and corporate colleagues. The ability to present effectively to medium-sized groups will be advantageous, as is the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and demands.

Although the role may be perceived as a technical one, current members of the team have a background in a wide range of subject areas. As the Business & Intelligence team has a comprehensive remit spanning information, performance, quality, contracting, and corporate systems the opportunities for an interested individual to learn and progress along various career lines are present.

Northampton Healthcare Foundation Trust provides a wide range of increasingly integrated healthcare services across the County and beyond. Knowledge of healthcare provision is desirable but not essential - more important is the ability to quickly learn how each item of information produced will be interpreted by different parts of a Health Economy.

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to several prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire etc.

It is our vision to be a leading provider of outstanding, compassionate care. Our most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection recognised this with an 'Outstanding' rating overall, as well as an 'Outstanding' rating for the Caring domain. Applicants will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding compassionate care and also commit to the Trust mission statement: Making a difference for you, with you. Our vision, mission and values are all part of the roadmap for all we do

Don't just take our word for it: In 2018, 72.2% of our staff recommended NHFT as a place to work, the highest score for trusts of our type. We were also honoured to win the Health Service Journal's coveted Trust of the Year award the same year.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CORRESPONDENCE FOLLOWING YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE MADE VIA EMAIL AND THE TRAC RECRUITMENT SYSTEM . If you do not hear from us by four weeks after the closing date then you may assume that on this occasion unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
