£9.89 per hour for daytime hours, plus enhancements for evenings, nights and bank holidays.

Marie Curie is here for people living with any terminal illness and their families. We offer expert care, guidance and support to help patients get the most from the time they have left.

The Marie Curie Rapid Response Service, in partnership with Lincolnshire CCGS, delivers rapid and flexible out of hours nursing care and support for terminally ill patients and their carers. We are a community based palliative care service whose aim is to respond quickly to support palliative patients and their carers within the community, usually in the patients' own home. We aim to prevent inappropriate admission to hospital and the choice for the patient of preferred place of care.

The service works in collaboration with other providers of end of life care in the community.

Pool cars are provided. Parking passes provided for personal cars at base.

Enhancements paid, on hours worked after 9pm up to 7am daily and 24 hours on BH.

We are an out of hours service covering evenings and nights Monday to Friday, shift times are 15.15 - 22.30. 22.30 - 08.00 then 08.00 - 15.15. to cover 24 hours at weekends and Bank Holidays. Rota to cover all 3 shifts.

The service covers the whole of Lincolnshire with bases in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham.

What we are looking for:
    • The Marie Curie Health Care Assistant will work alongside a Registered Nurse in the delivery of the service, at the same time as two other R.R.S teams, out in the community, covering the county.
    • The HCA reports to and will have the support of the Clinical Nurse Managers
    • Applicants would preferably have palliative care /end of life care experience, but this is not essential as training is provided.
