37.5 Hours per week - Full time substantive contract.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and trustworthy individual to join our friendly team of Pharmacists, Technicians and Supporting staff in the busy Pharmacy Department at Southmead Hospital.

The work is varied and interesting and will include working as part of the ward stock distribution team. Distribution duties include visiting wards, ordering and processing ward stock requests as well as delivering and putting medicines/IV Fluids away at ward level.

Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is an ability to work well with other members of the team. This is a vital role that requires a conscientious and methodical person who is able to keep pace with the work. Basic keyboard skills are also essential.

While previous experience is desirable, full induction training is provided and further training will be given. A willingness to learn is important and the post would be ideal for someone wishing to start a career in hospital pharmacy.

The Pharmacy Department within the Brunel Building is modern with excellent facilities and requires staff to currently work shifts between the opening hours of 8am-7pm daily and 10am-2pm Saturday/Sunday and bank holidays, although this could be subject to change depending on the needs of the Hospital
