Are you 16+, looking to work in the NHS as an administrator, and want to gain a nationally recognised qualification as you learn new work skills? If yes, then this job might be for you. Solent NHS Trust are offering a 15-month fixed term training post for a full-time business administration apprentice within the Special Care Dental Service of the Trust.

The post is a fixed term training post for a 15-month period, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. The successful applicant will become a valued member of a busy team gaining experience and skills for customer services apprenticeship Level 2 with a VRQ in Business Administration. The successful applicant will be based at Andover Health Centre.

The successful applicant will undertake the customer service apprenticeship standard whilst learning on the job. The apprenticeship standard will be provided by a local training provider. The apprenticeship will be achieved throughout the life of the fixed term contract. Protected study time will enable the apprentices to progress with the standard and meet expected deadlines.

The Solent NHS Trust Special Care Dental Service provides dental care and treatment throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to patients who are unable to receive treatment within High Street dental practices. Patients who fall within specific criteria are referred into the service by Health Care professionals. The Service is able to offer appointments within dental clinics or in patients' own homes.

Applicants will need to meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for apprenticeship funding and this training post

a) applicants must be 16 years+ and have lived in the EU for 3+ years

c) must not already be in any type of government funded training
