An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and well organised individual to join the Education, Learning and Development team at Dorset County Hospital. This is an ideal time to join our team following our recent restructure with lots of innovation and collaborative working with our colleagues across the County taking place.

The successful applicant will be supporting our clinical education team in ensuring that all our training programs for learners are administered in a timely and effective manner. The practice education team support a wide variety of non-medical learners including undergraduate students, health care support workers undertaking their care certificate, apprentices, newly qualified health care professionals, International nurses and clinical staff wishing to upskill their knowledge or skills.

Applicants will require excellent communication and administration skills and ideally possess level 3 NVQ in Administration or equivalent. Extensive experience of Microsoft Office is required. An understanding of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and Oracle Learning Management System (OLM) and the ability to take minutes of meetings would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

The successful applicant will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to cope with a demanding workload and ever changing priorities. The ability to use their own initiative and demonstrate excellent customer service skills are essential.

All staff within the education team are supported to further develop their knowledge, skills and abilities and the successful candidate will be supported to undertake their Business Administration Apprenticeship level 3 if they don't already hold this qualification.

This post is full time over 5 days.
