To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-
  • that you must have GCSE in English and Maths
  • you do not have a degree/higher qualification
  • have not completed an apprentice programme in the past

Our Commitment to you is to help you gain a qualification in Business Administration at Level 3 Apprenticeship within a 16 month contract.

Hours of work will typically be 9am-5pm,

37.5 hours per week, predominantly working across 2 sites at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to earn while you learn.

As part of the apprentice scheme you will have access to study sessions, a mentor and a training provider. The Learning and Development Team cover a broad range of activities, including leading the organisations apprenticeship services, and this post is ideal for someone who wants an understanding of a corporate administration role that provides them with transferable skills.

The skills learnt will be based around preparing rooms for training and events, receiving and responding to enquiries for learning from staff and the general public, creating and maintaining learner files, supporting our marketing of programmes through awareness events, handouts, Twitter and notice boards, inputting and collecting data plus a variety of other administrative duties. In addition to effective interpersonal skills, the post holder will need to be willing to learn new skills and work on a variety of tasks across the team.

The ideal candidate must have Functional Skills in maths and English at level 1 or above, or a maths and English GCSE (any grade). Be able to follow instructions and possess a good initial level of customer service/communication skills.
