Following the internal promotion of the current post holder we are recruiting to the role of Professional Education Manager to lead the CCS professional education function to ensure that CCS continues to support our staff to have the very best clinical and professional development and to attract and retain staff.

The post holder will also have a key role in supporting the wider Learning and development of all CCS staff and in working closely with services to help them develop and achieve their future workforce supply plans, such as the use of existing and developing new apprenticeships, supporting students placements with higher quality learning experiences and working closely with Higher Education providers to ensure their programmes meet the needs of our services.

The successful applicant will hold a professional clinical registration and have knowledge and experience of professional education and a demonstrated ability to lead on programmes of work and in decision making as well as in supporting and leading a team and influencing others outside their own management/ leadership direct remit.

The Professional Education team is based at The Meadows in St Ives however this post will involve travel as required to other trust and external site , so flexibility on the post holders work base and working hours can be discussed.

NB, During Covid until further notice, this post can be undertaken from home.

As part of our safe recruitment practice pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed which may include a Disclosure and Barring check and where the position requires you to drive as part of your everyday duties, you will be asked to validate your driving licence online via the DVLA. We will also use technology to ensure the documents you provide are genuine.

Successful applicants to posts at band 6 or above for which a DBS check is required, will be asked to pay for this as a condition of their job offer (£44 for an Enhanced Check or £27 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from their first month's salary unless a longer pay back period is agreed with the appointing manager. This will not apply to successful applicants who are registered with the DBS Update Service and in possession of the disclosure certificate, for whom an online status check will be undertaken.
