South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) covers the counties of Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, an area of c. 4,600 sq miles with a resident population of approximately four million.

To help cover an increasing need for the provision of training, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Bank Clinical Education Managers to join our North Education Team, in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This position is aimed either at experienced clinical team educators to enhance their clinical teaching skills or those candidates looking for an opportunity for personal development,

The successful candidate will support the Senior Education Manager at times of need, by delivering clinical education courses and programmes from classroom teaching to utilising technology enhanced learning and clinical simulation. The Trust has extensive education programmes ranging from non-clinical apprenticeships to paramedicine clinical training programmes planned for existing and new staff, in addition to statutory & mandatory annual training (face to face) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.

The Education Manager role provides clinical leadership, mentorship and training to Trust-wide operational roles. The post offers an exciting opportunity and career development for someone with enthusiasm and dedication to maintaining the high standards and the advancement and evolution of current and future education practices, with the intention to cover enough regular shifts to support working towards a CAVA and a Level 4 teaching qualification.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate outstanding clinical, supervisory and communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal). Suitable candidates must work well under pressure remaining calm, focused and approachable. Successful candidates will hold current professional registration with degree level education. Successful candidates may be expected to undertake further formal educational programmes to meet the teaching requirements of the role and a positive attitude to personal development is expected.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a panel interview and interactive / demonstrable process.
