Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest trusts in the country, serving a population of 1.2 million people. Our newly formed Trust, comprising acute hospital sites at Broomfield in Chelmsford, Basildon and Southend, is determined to provide the best health services for its local population. We are a well-led, high-performing and innovative organisation working in the best interests of the people we serve.

With a workforce of approximately 15,000 staff, we can now do more and go further in delivering health services to our local communities.

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

Patients will experience improved care as well as fewer delays and cancellations. We are able to provide more once-in-a-lifetime specialist care region-wide. With our new trust size will come more opportunities for development, research, networking and innovation.

We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.

We will deliver safe and high-quality services and be an employer of choice for our workforce.

We are ' one team, working together' .

Merger on April 1st 2020 from three hospitals Basildon, Southend and Mid Essex into one as Mid and South Essex Foundation Trusts (MSEFT) represents a significant opportunity for positive change to a new organisation. The aim is for MSEFT to become an employer of choice for a supported, engaged and high performing workforce to improve patient experience and outcomes.

Organisational Development (OD) aims to improve the health and effectiveness of MSEFT and its 16,000 staff in a sustainable way and is crucial to MSEFT's success post-merger, over the COVID pandemic and with publication of NHS England/Improvement People Plan.

An exciting opportunity is on offer for an experienced, highly organised and confident senior manager at this critical time as member of MSEFT's dynamic and talented OD team. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual with a proven track record and operational experience who can co-ordinate and market activities and support the central administrative function. With skills in managing budgets, projects, governance processes and people, this post is mission critical to being able to deliver a large portfolio of education, leadership, talent management, digital-learning, staff engagement, apprenticeships, retention and culture change across MSEFT. You will have great writing skills and creative flair with an understanding of the importance of good design and consistent branding and be a team player, managing two team members.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a key role in one of the largest acute Trusts in the country. If you are passionate about supporting NHS staff, want to use your skills and knowledge to create a healthier organisation and are able to build relationships, collaborate and effectively manage a business unit and team working closely with the OD Director, please get in touch.
