The ideal candidate can be a experienced or newly qualified nurse, they will have a passion for improving patient care and developing their professional abilities.

We manage the care for over 133,000 patients per year, and up to 150 ambulance arrivals per day.

To meet this challenge we are increasing our workforce, investing in their professional development and rebuilding our Emergency Department; all of which will improve the patient experience and the working lives of our workforce.

Emergency nursing is an exciting and rewarding career; at Medway we offer an acclaimed structured support and development package for all our nursing staff.

Working in a modern ED can be stressful and challenging; you will need to be to be resilient and hard working.

We provide a structured 18-month preceptorship programme for experienced and newly qualified nurses. Following this you will have access to either undertake a BSc or MSc in Emergency Nursing.
