What will the apprentice be doing?

Offering an excellent insight into the Civil Engineering and Highways Infrastructure environments. You'll also acquire all the skills and knowledge you need to achieve chartered status with the RICS as part of this Degree Apprenticeship Standard. You will also be studying part time for a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree qualification to supplement your on the job experience and learning.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprentices will be required to complete a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc/BSc(Honours) or (where the apprentice already holds a Level 6 degree and subject to an assessment of prior learning) an RICS accredited Post Graduate Diploma or MSc that states it is linked to this apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Building Surveying: providing professional advice on buildings and construction.

Quantity Surveying & Project Management: negotiating contracts and prices, assessing, evaluating and managing construction projects to ensure the best value for money and quality.

Property: valuing (including inspecting and measuring), managing, buying, selling, developing and leasing land and property.
